Please Find Another Way Men!
Air New Zealand and Qantas practice discrimination against men, says Kerry Bevin, Political Leader of The Republic of New Zealand Party.
He was commenting on the airlines seating policies.
If an unaccompanied child is assigned a seat alongside a man, the man will either be asked to move or the child will be assigned another seat.
“These policies are outrageous and should be outlawed.”
Mr Bevin, a grand father, said this was just the tip of a discriminatory iceberg that makes men’s lives difficult and is against human rights.
‘They’re very happy to take my money, but when I get on the aircraft they’re going to treat me as a human sub species because I am male.”
Mr Bevin said this unacceptable discrimination was the root cause of much family dysfunction and a Republican Government would ensure that it was outlawed
He said he felt for the man who was asked to move to another seat on a recent Air New Zealand flight.
“I share this man’s sense of outrage and all I can say to other men is, if you can find a way to get there other than using Air New Zealand and Qantas, please do it.”
